Buying a Car ? Get Best Deal

Toyota is all set to enter the compact MUV segment with the Avanza. Although compact, the Avanza will still offer a seven seat option.

Sporting a FR layout, the Avanza will also feature a monocoque chassis which will make it even more car-like than its bigger sibling, the Innova. Looking like a scaled down Innova and coupled with petrol and diesel options the Avanza is sure to catch the peoples fancy.

Toyota is not planning to launch this car anymore in India. I just confirmed it from Toyota. The only car which is left for launch from Toyota in India is ETIOS. Shame! | Reply

The Avanza is ideal urban mover. Itshould have a very comfortable seating for ONLY FIVE people. The middle row pushed back- 100mm leg space. The rest for luggage. It will be an ideal urban vehicle. | Reply

Toyota should have a sure winner if if contemplates on launching the RUSH/BE-GO/ TERIOS 7 seater model which combines as a small SUV cum MPV instead of the AVANZA | Reply
Nishant (18 March 2010 14:53) Reply to Alf Rodricks
Yes Alf, u r right. I donot know why toyota is not thinking in the same lines. people here don't want an MPV but a low cost SUV like Terios-7seater. Hope our thoughts reach toyota. | Reply
  • Venkatesh (21 January 2010 14:55)
I just hope Toyota prices this product well. Could checkmate Skoda Yeti for all you know. Most Yeti's sold would be the front wheel drives variety and in that sense would be in the same category at Toyota Avanza. As of today Toyota has only got its Fortuner pricing right. | Reply

This should be one of the best launches for Toyota since this vehicle can be seen in Malaysian roads and they are doing very good over there and it smaller version of Innova and if they keep the same Innova engine then we should get a SUV of Toyota with better mileage. | Reply
  • Atul (15 January 2010 13:46)
This is an Amazing offering from Toyota. It was launched about 3/4 yrs back in Indonesia for about 5 Lakh INR if converted. If they come with same pricing here then I am sure Toyota would rule Indian Roads. | Reply
  • nik (15 January 2010 10:50)
@derno offence dear, Innova might be a gas guzzler in absolute term (i don't know what would be good mileage like for such a car) but it does well on all the fronts then any other in the same category. As far as corolla is concerned well it sells more than civic, in fact more than any other in its class. | Reply
  • Santunu Kumar (11 January 2010 20:22)
Must watch out for the price and the mileage which is very important. The car manufacturers should be very practical in manufacturing their cars. | Reply

der... If you are from another car company's dealership, its all right dear, take a break. Toyota is ruling the nest, everybody knows. One of my car is a Toyota and I love it more than any other car I own. Toyota knows what customer wants. I agree with NIK. | Reply

@ Dear Der,Its Not only naive ,but also irrational to speak of Toyota as Toyo-Taxi.The gas Guzzler which you are referring to is the back bone of Indian Commercial Passanger car movement | Reply
