Maruti Suzuki SX4

Chervolet Aveo

Maruti Suzuki's mid-level sedan offering, the SX4 packs in power and has a very peppy engine making it a very sporty and stylish car in this segment. It is quite a driver's car and has the handling to match the 1.6 litre potent motor. If only the SX4 was a better built car with little more focus on ride quality and comfort, she could have given our winner, the Honda City, a good run for its money.

Ford Fiesta

The nearest and most potent rival to the Honda City's crown, the Ford Fiesta has always been one of our most favourite sedans, thanks to its amazing driveability, up-market interiors and exceptional comfort levels. The Honda City wins marginally over the Fiesta petrol, as Ford's after sales service and over build quality aren't on par with the big H.

Hyundai Verna

The Hyundai Verna's 1.6 litre petrol motor is a lot of fun when to drive with its peppy power delivery and superb refinement. Hyundai has definitely improved the quality of its cars over the years and one of the first cars to see better parts quality was the Verna model. Overall, the car is a decent buy but not quite a smasher on all fronts. The fuel economy is not really impressive and the gearbox too is notchy when compared to the refined gearboxes of its rivals.

Mitsubishi vehicles are extremely good and can compete with any other manufacturers vehicles. But the only problem is with their poor marketing and tie up with Hindustan Motors. | Reply

Have u guys ever felt the gear of a Lancer. It's the best. I am not sure of the price of it in India, but with the sound engine and optimized gear ratio, it is one of the good cars with excellent pick up. I am not sure why it lags so much here in the Indian market and is competing with City, where it should be competing with Civic. | Reply
