Luxury Prestige Sedan

Team Zigwheels 07 Dec 2009

Test Drive Mercedes-Benz E-class

The segment has been dominated by the Germans for quite some time and the Mercedes-Benz has made the most of establishing this prestigious segment. But BMW and Audi have joined the fray as well and playing catch up pretty soon.

There is more competition as well, with Volvo and the Jaguar being the latest to join the party. The segment comprises of big sedans trying to offer just the right blend of high end luxury for the back benchers but at the same time make the owner smile from ear to ear when he or she is behind the wheel.

All new Mercedes-Benz E-class

Mercedes-Benz has pretty much re-written the rulebooks with its all new E-class. Gone are the oval lamps, and the traditional design. Seen first up, one can barely recognize it from the star family. The all-new rhomboid shaped headlights and the edgy design make it standout from any of its predecessors. Spacious and top grade interiors only serve as the icing on the cake. But the biggest change is the way this big Benz handles now and coupled with a pair of stonking petrol and diesel motors, the all new E is tons of fun.

I don't understand, what is "Luxury Prestige Sedan"? Doesn't the term "luxury" say it all? No offense, but Zigwheels needs to do some serious editing. I am sure there are a million enthusiasts in India who can write better! The E just lost its charm by getting rid of the oval lamps. Wish they still had them. | Reply
