Entry Level SUV Segment Rival

20 Aug 2009

Entry-Level-SUV-Segment-Competitors-Tata-Safari-Main

Tata Safari

Chervolet Aveo

The Tata Safari was the first SUV to be designed, developed and manufactured entirely in India. It started life with a 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine which was replaced over the course of time and it now comes with the 2.2-litre DiCOR VTT engine. While this engine does not make it a stronger performer than its competition, the Safari does have some distinct advantages than the Scorpio. It offers more interior room and better comfort along with a plusher ride quality. But the Safari really lags behind the Scorpio in terms of build quality and performance. While we really like this car, it's been around for ages, and we would greatly appreciate something new now.

Scorp is the king! The Safari looks very dated especially the front view. Both the vehicles provide commanding view of the road and have good road presence | Reply

well said. it has been there for ages now. The innovations haven't qiute contributed in resurrecting its image, unlike scorpio. Saf feels old now. This is where Scorpio scores. | Reply

SOMEONE HAS SAID "OLD IS GOLD" Eg. WINE, RICE AND OUR PARENTS ALWAYS HAS MORE EXPERIENCE THEN OUR. SO RESPECT THEIR GENORISTY THAT GIVE YOU CHANCE TO GROW AND LEARN. WHICH AGAIN MEANS OLD IS GOLD. | Reply

GO TO AUTHORISED DEALER AND THEN TO SOME PRIVATE WORKSHOP, ASK THEM AFTER THE SALES EXPENSES SUCH AS PAID SERVICE, MILEAGE, SPARE COST AND RE-SALE VALUE. DON'T BELIEVE THIS AND THAT JUST MIND YOUR POCKET AND KIND OF USE YOU WANT. ALSO CHECK WHICH ONE IS BEST SUITED FOR BOTH REAL INDIAN ROADS. | Reply
