Dhoni surely an automobile fanatic

Coming next is our Captain Dhoni whom we all fondly call Mahi. If any of us are remotely aware of cricket, chances are that we mostly do know about the captain's passion for automobiles. Be it the cars he owns or the bikes he drives. Recently the star cricketer bought a Hummer costing him a whopping 1 crore and it drove back from Delhi via Lucknow to his hometown Ranchi. Apart from the Hummer, Mahi also owns a Mitsubishi Pajero. However inside news is that Dhoni's passion lies more in riding bikes than with four wheelers. MS also owns a Harley Davidson, which he brought after India won the T-20 world cup. In his garage he also has a Yamaha 650 sportsbike as well as a Kawasaki Ninja.

But they have all wasted billion of productive man hours and millions of column cms of newsmedia . unless we people start respecting productivity and shun wasteful parasites (the place they belong to as per ancient traidition is KOOTHADI shawls), how will we improve as human beings? | Reply

@Narayana...You mean to say Sports are not important for our society!!?? We are not honey beas who live to collect nector from flowers. We are humans, we hav emotions many other species lack or cannot express or simply cannot help, we have the power to express, hear and see whatever we want, simply, we need entertainment and thrill and many of us get these from sports. As far as technology is concerned, sports have pushed scientists to produce better and better cameras and broadcasting techniques. Sport industry provides employment to millions of people, whether directly or indirectly; and you say the people who are the drivers of this industry are of no use!!! | Reply

India is Rich enough to have anthing..... Forget about Cars many people in India own a Private jet.... India is Rich by all means. A car should be credited a SUV or Supercar only if it can dominate the Indian roads otherwise its not a car or SUV.... | Reply

If hummer cannot be driven on Indian roads, it would be shame on its manufacturer's capabilities. What a Maruti 800 like car can endure on Indian roads, surely hummer should do a better job. India for all good reasons has changed a lot in past 10 years. I've travelled abroad many times and I feel that our golden quadrilateral highways are as good as any developed country highway. You cannot drive these cars like Ferrari and BMW M3 in India. You just sit and them and enjoy the smell of the leather. If you try to drive them you will either hit somebody or damage the car by going over a speed-breaker or pothole!!!! The best thing is to become a car collector like Vijay Mallya or the Maharaja of Indore. | Reply

Saumajit, Sean is not totally incorrect. Still today lots of roads are full of potholes and speedbrakers. But it is also tru that there are lot of good streaches to drive these cars. | Reply

    Who cares who drives what? It's their personnel matter. As far as cricketers concerns, they should pay attention to their games instead of fame. If they play good, fame will follow. Also about the public should not pay much attention to these kind of crap about anyone. | Reply

    I bought only my first car (Zen LXI) as new one. Now I drive a 02 Sonata and would like next one a Toyota Rav 4 and NOT a new one.New cars a waste of money and will buy probably when I will win a lottery. | Reply

Rav4 is not recommended , I know it has not had the best reputation in Australia. Toyoto is fixing problems FOC even after warranty period. They should be recalling the vehicle. | Reply
